🌿ACTIVITIES MENTIONED:
Visualize your house plants, or a vacation destination that you loved and re-root into these moments and feel that sense of joy and calm.
Practice intentional deep breathing. Practice being in the now. Focusing your gaze on greenery. Count inhale and exhale until you get to 25. Do not rush, simply enjoy these breaths.
Take a moment to intentionally explore the micro details of the colors and patterns of the leaves of the plants. Get very very close- what do you see that you never noticed before?
Follow the veins of the leaves to the very last point you can.
Follow the trunk, branches and leaves of the trees until you reach the very end.
While watering your plants, watch the water soak into the soil, and imagine the water dispersing all throughout the soil. Then to take that further, imagine the roots soaking up that fresh water and nutrient. Practice with kids as well.
Stretch out like a tree. Your arms, fingers, toes. Be present in nature. Scan your body in your mind as you stretch each individual limb.
Pretend you are a plant, and stretch that body and limbs towards the sun. Imagine you are a plant or tree and you are stretching all over towards that sun.
Move your body throughout the day! If you have been sitting a lot or have been less active- simply ensure you are taking time all throughout the day to stretch your body.
Take a moment to be mindful of one of your favorite vacations or spots in nature. Replay these memories through your mind. We all have a special place that we love to be, and taking a moment to reseed these thoughts and images in our mind connects us to the moment, and deepens our relationship to these positive memories.
