MENTIONED IN EPISODE:
Lunar Gardening- Planting by the Moon (also called “Gardening by the Moon” or “Moon Phase Gardening”) is the idea that the lunar cycle affects plant growth. Just as the moon’s gravitational pull creates the tides of the oceans, it also creates more moisture in the soil, which encourages growth.
Farmers Almanac- an annual North American periodical that has been in continuous publication since 1818. Published by Geiger of Lewiston, Maine, the Farmers' Almanac provides long-range weather predictions for both the U.S. and Canada.
Geotropism- the growth of the parts of plants with respect to the force of gravity. The upward growth of plant shoots is an instance of negative geotropism ; the downward growth of roots is positive geotropism.
Agricultural Astrology- Planting according to the placement of the moon in each zodiac constellation
Bore Tide- is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of the incoming tide forms a wave (or waves) of water that travels up a river or narrow bay against the direction of the river or bay's current.
