Moss Art Workshop at 49th State Brewing Co- Anchorage, Ak
The Preserved Moss Art Workshop hosted at 49th State Brewing in Anchorage, Alaska was a huge success!
The Fur Rondy Festival was going on all weekend, and our attendees come out to get their hands dirty and learn about preserved moss, biophilic design and sustainable harvesting. Participants were able to create beautiful and unique pieces of art using sustainably harvested preserved moss. The workshop provided a great chance to learn about the many benefits of bringing nature indoors, including the ability of preserved moss to bring life and color to spaces where houseplants donโt typically thrive.
One thing we love about hosting events here is THE FOOD. The food at 49th State Brewing is simply delicious! From their wood-fired pizzas to their mouth-watering vegan menu, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Not to mention, they have an impressive selection of craft beers that perfectly complement their menu. The brewery prides itself on using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and offering a menu that caters to a range of dietary preferences. If you're looking for a great spot to grab a bite to eat or a drink with friends, 49th State Brewing is the place to be.
Weโre also proud to say that our Preserved Moss Workshop was a sustainable event. We used all-natural materials, such as preserved moss, re-claimed wood frames, environmental grade adhesive and naturally preserved plants to create our moss art pieces. The great thing about preserved moss is it requires no maintenance, and you can enjoy the piece for years to come. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and we're committed to creating events that are both fun and environmentally-friendly.
The inspiration behind the event was the incredible 150-square foot preserved moss wall that we created for 49th State Brewing, last year. The wall added a unique and natural touch to the space and served as a beautiful backdrop for our workshop. It was a dream come true to create such a vibrant natural display, and we're thrilled with how it turned out! We are excited to continue to explore new ways to incorporate preserved moss and other sustainable materials into our work.
Participants left with their very own preserved moss art pieces to display in their homes or offices. The workshop was a great reminder of the endless possibilities when it comes to incorporating plants into our daily lives.
So grateful to everyone who joined us, and looking forward to our next workshop in March: Handmade Planter & Succulent Care to continue to share our passion for plants with the community of Anchorage, that we love so much!
